A quick update to wish all my customers a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.
Thank you for supporting me and for the enthusiasm shown for my new work. It has sold as far as the USA.
There will be more coming in the spring of 2017.
I have just looked out of my studio to see a cheeky blackbird pinch the only ripe strawberry!
I am growing them in a hanging tub and waiting patiently for a taste of summer. It seems I will have to wait a tad longer. The cheek of it!
Night Garden – Mixed media on board
This painting now available at Burfield’s Fine Arts and Antiques, Ventnor, Isle of Wight – plus many more.
As my regular followers will see, my website has been given a refreshing new look. Some of the work for sale is currently showing with galleries around the UK. If you would like any more information then please use the e mail link to contact me.
Also in development is a NEW shop. In 3-4 months this will go live with collectors being able to purchase direct online for the first time. Watch this space for updates and further news! For now, please contact me directly for any pricing or purchases. I am currently finishing a series of paintings for Seaview Gallery.
The exhibition opens on 16th July.
I have an advertisment in World of Interiors (sister magazine to Vogue) for two months. I will show an illustration in the July issue and a seascape for the August issue. I was delighted to be invited to be included on the arts pages of such a prestigious publication.
Talking of seascapes. I never tire of the changing coastline. I especially love low tide as it leaves rock pools which reflect the landscape, boats and the many dog walkers I meet when out sketching. It always make me smile when I watch the children on the sand digging, building castles and endlessly filling up moats only to watch the water seep away! I did just the same as a child.
I am just so lucky to live on the Island. And, for those who don’t know Priory Bay – It’s a little piece of heaven on earth, especially first thing in the morning when you are the only person on the beach save for a few gulls and a couple of curlews.
Both Robin’s Nest Gallery in Berkshire and the Mulberry Tree Gallery in Swanage are showing my work through the summer months.
I was interviewed by Roz Whistance, journalist who formerly worked for The Daily Telegraph.
We spent several hours chatting over copious amounts of coffee and was delighted with the results. Her article was extremely accurate in understanding my paintings. Style of Wight is a beautiful magazine and highlights all the exceptional talent and beauty the Island has to offer.
Thank you to Roz as my work was also featured on the front cover of the edition.
